The Airdrie Time Travellers Club is celebrating its 25th anniversary with its annual show, Doin it on the Grass, set for Aug. 8.

The Time Travellers began as a small car club meeting every Friday at an A&W. Over time, they have evolved into a local non-profit and thriving community of car enthusiasts.

The club has left a lasting impact on many through their charity work and strong sense of community.

“Our big thing is you don't even have to have a car. You just have to love cars,” said Kaleigh Clow, president of the Time Travellers.

What started as a small car meet has grown into one of Airdrie's most recognized community events. The annual show, Doin’ it on the grass, now draws thousands of people and has been held at Nose Creek Regional Park for the past 25 years.
